Present Simple.

How to form the Present Simple:

The present simple is formed with the subject + base form of the infinitive,

To form the third person of most verbs add -s          he likes

Verbs ending in chshsssx, or z, add -es          she watches

Verbs ending in a consonant + y, remove the 'y' and add -ies          he studies

To form the third person of the verbs 'go' and 'do'  add -es

Present Simple - negative:

I do not play / I don't play

To form the Present Simple negative use subject + auxiliary verb 'do' + not / don't + infinitve

For the third person Present Simple negative use the third person of the auxiliary verb 'do' + not (does not /doesn't)  + infinitve
