Present Continuous.

How to form the Present Continuous:

The Present Continuous is formed with the subject + am / is / are + ing form of the verb

Verbs ending in e, remove e and add  -ing          write - she is writing

Verbs ending in a consonant + vowel + consonant, double the last consonant and add -ing     he is sitting

I am talking
You are listening
He is eating
She is listening
It is raining
We are walking

They are reading

 

Present Continuous - Negative:

I am not playing

The Present Continuous negative is formed with subject + am / is / are + not + ing form of the verb

She is not listening
It is not raining
We are not walking
You are not going
They are not reading

Am I playing?

To make questions with the Present Continuous use am / is / are + subject + ing form of the verb

Present Continuous - Negative Questions:

Aren't I playing?

To make negative questions with the Present Continuous use am / are + not = aren't OR is + not =  isn't + subject + ing form of the verb
